About Cell Salt Therapy

What are cell salts and how do deficiencies arise?

Dr. Schüssler's cell salt therapy
The Dutch center for Dr. Schüssler's cell salt therapy, founded in 1995, stands for the ideology and the realization of making this safe, natural healing therapy more widely known. In addition, we are committed to successfully making Dr. Schüssler's cell salt therapy applicable for both the therapist and the individual. Healthy and fit through the use of substances that can be absorbed by the body cells.
Dr. W.H. Schüssler (1821-1898) was a physician, homeopath and anatomopathologist. In his work as anatomopathologist, he discovered that after cremation, 12 inorganic salts remained as a residue of the cremated body. He also found that a disproportion in these inorganic compounds could be found in the clinical picture of the deceased person. From these experiences, he laid the foundation for cell salt therapy, the basis for natural health.
Cell salts, according to the classical recipe, as substances that can be absorbed by the body cells, can be used by young and old in addition to any other form of medication, both regular and homeopathic. These are salts (a compound of 2 or more mineral substances), which we should normally get in sufficient quantities through our food.

Causes of the development of deficiencies:
Salts are components of our food and are found in fruit, vegetables and grains. Plants form salts (a salt is a compound between 2 or more minerals) from the mineral substances that they extract from the soil. However, in order to be able to form these salts, the right minerals must be present in the soil around the plant.

1. This is often lacking in this time of bio-industry and glass fibre cultivation, because mainly those minerals, such as artificial fertiliser, are given that promote rapid growth.
By chewing vegetables, fruit and grains well, they are mixed with our alkaline saliva. The salts are released and can be absorbed by our oral mucosa and thus enter the bloodstream. Through the bloodstream they reach those cells where a shortage of a cell salt has arisen.

2. In this hectic time we often do not take the time to chew our food properly and quickly swallow our food. However, as soon as salts enter the stomach they break down under the influence of the stomach acid into simple mineral substances.
In this time there are many more stimuli that come our way that we have to process.

3. A cell uses up its cell salts when it is stimulated to greater activity by a stimulus. That stimulus can consist of all influences that burden or overload us, that can be mental, physical or energetic (electro smog, telephone, radar, etc. etc.).
Due to these three causes a shortage of cell salts quickly arises, as a result of which minerals and vitamins cannot be sufficiently absorbed by the cell and vitality is reduced with all the consequences that entails.
Cell salt deficiencies can be supplemented therapeutically, aimed at one or more deficiency characteristics, or as a general supplement in the form of a multi-supplement or in combination of both.
The use as a multi-supplement is especially recommended for athletes, pregnant women, people living under stress and people over 45 to 50 years of age.

Inorganic minerals are soil minerals, plants absorb these minerals and make them absorbable salts (mineral compounds) for us.

Cell salts, according to the classic recipe, are therefore obtained from natural organic sources (such as plants and spring water) and are therefore directly absorbable by the body. They supplement any deficiencies that arise (see above). This contributes to optimal vitality and recovery capacity.

Homeopathically prepared remedies are remedies that have a homeopathic medicine registration in the country of production. The raw material, the salt crystal = soil mineral, is artificially obtained by chemically mixing mineral substances. These remedies do not supplement deficiencies but energetically stimulate a higher absorption from food and therefore work as simplified homeopathic remedies.

Because we are the only ones in the Netherlands to have the cell salts specially made from natural organic sources according to the classic recipe, they are a bit more expensive but in terms of effect as Dr. Schüssler intended and they do justice to what Dr. Schüssler said: "Cell salts are of the utmost importance for our vitality (recovery capacity) to be able to process pathogenic stimuli (= healthy resistance)".

Why cell salts are so important?

Cell salts are specific connections between 2 minerals, one of which is positively charged and the other negatively charged, which means they attract each other and form a stable couple. Our cells need these salts, just like vitamins, to function properly. Our cells use these salts to be able to process the stresses they encounter of any kind, such as: stress, viruses, pollution, etc. If a shortage of cell salts occurs due to overload, the cell can no longer recover and is no longer able to perform its function, and a pathological situation arises (Schüssler 1874). To resolve this pathological situation, the cell needs cell salts.

Normally, we obtain the necessary cell salts through our food. But then our food must be of good quality and we must chew our food very well, because the cell salts from our food only remain cell salts if they enter the bloodstream via the oral mucosa. As soon as cell salts enter the stomach, they are broken down into simple minerals by our stomach acid.

A shortage of cell salts occurs in our time due to 3 causes:
1.
Our food contains less and less cell salts due to the depletion of the soil, which means that vegetables and fruit contain less and less cell salts.
2. Our lives have become increasingly hectic and stressful, which means that our cells need more and more cell salts to continue to function healthily.
3. We eat more and more processed food and chewing our food carefully is no longer in keeping with the times, everything has to be quick and easy.
